Prerequisites:

Recommended, CA 31B (Beginning Word), and CA 62B (Beginning Excel)

Course Description:

Students will learn various features of each of the Office 2000 programs.
Integration of Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point.

Student Expectations:

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:

  1. Use the Windows Clipboard
  2. Use paste, Link, and Embed information
  3. Use the Office Clipboard
  4. Manipulate Shared Objects
  5. Embed information in Applications
  6. Insert Worksheets and Charts
  7. Integrate Power Point and Word
  8. Integrate Access and Word or Excel
  9. Perform Mail Merges with an Excel Data Source
  10. Perform Mail Merges with an Access Data Source
  11. Use Microsoft Clip Gallery to
  12. Insert Clip Art, Sound and or Video Clips
  13. Insert Hyper links
  14. Save files as HTML files
  15. Create an interactive worksheet page
  16. Post web pages onto the Internet.

Integrating with Microsoft Office 2000, Brief Edition, ã 2000,

The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc.; Hutchinson and Coulthard

One Zip Disk or Five 3.5” HD floppy diskette

Note:

A lab/supplies card, purchased from the college bookstore is also

required for use of the West Valley College Technology Center.

All assignments must be typed, and include your name, class, and page

number of assignment.

Grading Policy:

This is a Credit / No Credit Class Grades will be reported as Credit / No Credit. To receive Credit, you may not miss any of the classes to receive credit.  If you need to drop the course, it is your responsibility to do so.
