Saving A Presentation

Saving A Presentation

Saving a presentation in PowerPoint is similar to saving documents in other Microsoft Office applications. After a presentation is saved on disk, you can use it over and over again.

  1. Choose File, Save
  2. The Save as dialog box opens. The default directory for PowerPoint is shown.
  3. In the File Name text box, type the name you wish to call this presentation file. You don't need to type the extension PPT. PowerPoint automatically adds it.
  4. In the drives list box click on the down arrow and choose A: drive if you wish to save your presentation on a disk in drive A, otherwise make sure that you are on the drive you wish to save the presentation file on.
  5. Click the OK button.
  6. The file is now saved and you are back in PowerPoint, the new file name is shown in the top border of the window.
